Hello:
I am new to this forum, looking for my own DL 1000. Must be in Mint cond, prefer low miles and never been down. More accessories the better; bags, engine guards, etc. Would love a 2003 Yellow model with matching factory Suzuki luggage system. I live in Los Angeles CA and willing to travel within 400
miles. Let me know what you have, serious buyer with cash in hand. Thanks

Look on craigslist for v-storms. Misspelling can be your friend.

Totally understand you motives but I "suspect" it will be hard to find a mint low mileage '03, ........ just sayin' .... the bikes tend to get ridden rather than polished.

But..... I scored a mint Red (my 1st choice color) '06 from the original owner with 11,000 miles on it and was happy as a clam about it. I found it on Craigslist fairly close to me.

I wish Suzuki hadn't been so stingy with the colors over the years. I would have considered a new leftover stock '09 but I just didn't want a black one.

Fortunately there isn't a lot of painted surfaces so it's not too hard to repaint them (or swap out the tank and fairing panels) to a different color. I was strongly considering that option myself for awhile.

Why the 650? Look like you have own big bikes before. I am asking because I am looking to replace my current ride (03 EV) with an Adventure type bike that I can do mostly solo riding, but also take my wife for short trips.

Hondas - '65 305 Scrambler; '81 900F; '98 1100 Shadow ACE; '03 VTX 1800C; Kawasakis - '05 Concours; '08 KLR650; '01 Vulcan 1500 Classic

Yes, I owned big bikes, but they were heavy bikes as well. I like the Wee because it's (to me) a good balance between heavy and light, very powerful and not quite powerful enough. I mainly ride solo, but do take my wife on the ocassional ride, and the Wee works just fine for us.
