So what is the purpose of the little lights in the upper corners of the headlights on the 2012 Wee? I know it's been a Yurro thing up until now.

They're front position/parking lamps that (1) enlarge the forward visual signature of the bike in motion, and (2) when parking on some cramped unlit street in Europe while having dinner, you can illuminate the bike so someone doesn't back their Citroen into it.

I've walked at night in some little towns in France, Italy, and Germany - and they can be really, really dark compared to typically lit streets in North America.

Pretty much. Especially with Suzuki's weird notch-after-the-steering-lock ignition design. Lots of griping about that...
