I have changed my DL650 indicators to LED indicators/running lights. They cost me $3.13 a pair, plus $4.48 freight.

They are available as amber/white, amber/red, amber/blue, and amber/amber (which is probably illegal in most places). https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pair-Motorcycle-LED-Turn-Signal-Lights-Amber-Lamp-Left-Right-Signals-Indicators-Blinkers-3-Wires-Universal/32862333482.html

I bought an amber/red pair for the rear and connected the red LED to my brake light.
Also a pair of amber/white for the front. They come with no instructions so touch them across your battery to see which wire is which. I have forgotten the wiring colours but the earth is either green or black.

One issue is that the reduced draw will cause the indicators to hyperflash. This is a safety protection to tell the rider that at least one of his indicator bulbs is not working. The easiest way by far to cure this is by buying this LED replacement flasher relay. It is a direct pull-out, plug-in replacement for the original OEM Suzuki relay. It's under the seat just in front of the battery. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Flasher-Relay-For-LED-Turn-Signals-Light-For-Suzuki-V-Strom-DL-1000-650-06-17-18/271098812441?hash=item3f1ebf9819:g:nJQAAOSw44BYeIAX

I converted my front turn signals to running lights / turn signals with the Blinker Genie. But I haven't found a good solution for the rear turn signals that incorporates amber signals with red running (and ideally brake) lights.

How bright are the running light and turn signal portions? I'd love to see some pictures or video of them in both daylight and night.
