I've got the 5w LED 1156 and 1157 replacements from superbrightleds.com. Just plug em in for the brakes, but I had to install a standard DOT flasher relay to keep the turn signal flash rates. They appear slightly brighter than stock, but not much.

What is the bulb size for the turn signals?

What LED conversions are you guys running on brake lights and turn signals?
If it is power savings that you are after, I can't see that you are getting much out of going LED on your turn signals, which are rarely on and then only momentarily. Just not a big draw of current. If you prefer the look of LED, I guess that is another issue.

However, replacing your brake and running lighting with LEDs will generate some significant power savings. I replaced my entire back end lighting (stock tail light and GIVI E52 top box lights) with LEDs. I swapped out the stock tail lite for Motodynamic's LED tail lite:

I wouldn't say that it is brighter than the stock tail lite but it is surprisingly good for an LED tail lite, is effective over quite a wide viewing range and gives you some added turn signals. On my K8 Wee it was plug and play, I did not have to install resistors or a new flasher unit to keep my stock flash rate. It has a clear lens that I thought nicely matched the clear lenses of the (incandescent) Buell flashers that I had already installed. I went to these flashers because they are very flexible and don't break as easily as the stock flashers (plus they are cheap - you can get 4 for the price of one OEM flasher)

For the Givi topbox lights, I installed AdmoreLighting's LED product but without the turn signal option (I figured I already had enough turn signals flashing. Some people might think this lighting package is a little disco but now I feel confident that anybody following me, night or day, can see what my bike is signalling. Admore's product is at:

So the taillight doesn't have two separate plugs? One for the running/brake light, and one for the blinker function?

Where did you plug the Givi taillight in? I just installed my E52 but haven't hooked up the light yet. I also ordered the AdMoreLighting kit, with turn signals. I am waiting for that to arrive before I hook it all up.

The Motodynamic tail light has one plug that plugs into the base of one of the two bulb sockets that power the stock tail light. This gets you brake and running light functions. Note that the other stock bulb socket ends up just sitting empty/unused - I taped it up. The tail light also has two electrical leads that you need to tap into your left and right rear turn signal wires. Motodynamic also provides two resistors that they say you have to install to achieve a normal blink rate (or buy a new flasher relay) but these were not needed on my bike. Don't know why. Maybe the flasher relay in the K8 models is designed to work with low resistance LEDs. Or maybe its because I still have incandescent lights in my rear blinkers. In any event, my blink rate remained unchanged.

I already had Givi's light kit installed in my top box. I simply had to remove (unplug) the two little panels of incandescent lights and plug in the supplied Admore kit. The connectors on the Admore circuit boards are the same as the connectors for the original Givi light modules (although they could have put the connector locations is a more convenient place on the circuit boards to match where the connectors are on the Givi modules). Once you figure out which connectors to plug in where, you have to do a little bit of fiddling to hide all the wiring again.

If you don't have the Givi wiring in your top box already, you have to order Amore's kit that comes with the full wiring kit. I ran the wiring from the top box into the side of my rear fender area (have a look at the pics that I posted in my earlier post above and you'll see the wire) and tapped into the brake and running light wires that are situated immediately in front of the tail light. You have to take the rear fender off to get at them.

Good luck with your installs (use posi-taps for tapping into wires).
