If you suspect a gouge from scraping, you may be able to remedy it with JB Weld. Remove the cover and remove the RTV (blue stuff) and gasket using a brass wire brush and a gasket solvent. Take your time. Tighten the clutch cover bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 10Nm/7.5 lbf ft/88.5 lbf in. Let the RTV set up before riding the bike.
