If you suspect a gouge from scraping, you may be able to remedy it with JB Weld. Remove the cover and remove the RTV (blue stuff) and gasket using a brass wire brush and a gasket solvent. Take your time. Apply the JB Weld compound to the worst gouges, and let it set up 24+ hours. sand it back down flush carefully, you don't want to create a valley. apply a hi temp sealant https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...il/c/j-b-weld/j-b-weld-3-ounce-rtv-silicone/jbw0/31314?q=hi+temp+gasket+sealant to both surfaces. Tighten the clutch cover bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 10Nm/7.5 lbf ft/88.5 lbf in. Let the RTV set up before riding the bike.

If it is the generator side, the torque values are the same.
