Hello everyone,
my bike got vandalised and when I got to it the ignition button was inside the housing and the inners cracked. To its credit the bike got me home. But since I have a 2009 v strom . I thought that this would be a good opportunity to just get a whole new assembly. Unfortunately it has had to come from Japan and was delivered today at a cost of ÂŁ130.
Is this a job I can do myself ? I am not a mechanic, but do oil and filer and brake service on the bike routinely. I have in the past rebuilt the top end of a CBF125. So am not completely clueless but I do like to trust the experts with anything particularly tricky on such a heavy machine. I am going to presume that someone must have posted on this as the kill switch assembly is something notorious on this bike. Any pointers much appreciated!
