I just picked up an '06 Wee and it has terrible flushmounts on the front. I'm finding lots of stalk signals that fit 'K9' Wee - just wondering if there's any reason they wouldn't work on mine. I've read about the Buell signals but decided not to go that route.

Here's what I'm interested in
Amazon.com: 07 08 09 Suzuki V-Strom DL650-K9 DL 650 Turn Signals: Automotive

Thanks in advance

I can't think of any changes in turn signals between '04-'07. Some later models with clear lenses used different bulbs but they still mounted the same. They should fit fine. They look like the '02-'03 DL1000 signals.

What would bother me is they appear to have all steel bodies instead of the stock rubber ones. A tip over could damage the fairing.

Thanks for the response greywolf. I did notice in the description a little further down the page it reads "This mini market set features a flexible stem made of rubber. Most minis are stiff." Does that reduce your concern for stiffness? I also plan on installing crash bars before doing any serious touring.

A rubber stem would remove my concern. I guess I should read stuff instead of just looking at pictures.

I got the signals the other day and installed them Sunday. The flat plastic adapters they sent with the signals don't fit the cutouts in my 06 fairings so I just didn't use them. The 2-wire setup came with male bullets on the ends, but I cut them off and substituted Anchor marine-grade terminals and heatshrink instead. First I tried soldering straight to the OEM wire but the :furious: mounting nut wouldn't fit over it after. They have the rubber stalk as advertised and a small window on the back so you can easily tell they're working from the riding position. You can also see my new JC Whitney/Emgo tapered mirrors in place.
