I am just wondering if changing from the stock air filter to a K&N has reduced my gas mileage. It might be my imagination or even the price of gas lately but I always seem to be filling up lately.
I guess I will really have to log it exactly but I am thinking of trying the stock filter again. I have 30k on it now and have really done nothing except change the oil, adjust the chain and lube of course. Got a set of plugs took one out but they still look good.

Fuel injected bike, shouldn't be affected by the K&N. Winter/Summer gas can make some change due to the oxygenators.
Seems since I got mine that riding it a lot has caused an increase in the mileage. Maybe it's more happy being used.

I haven't seen a change in gas Milage when I changed to the K&N filter.

K&N filter

I just switched to a K&N air filter and I too have noticed a substantial decrease in the mileage. I will wait until the bike is stored for the winter and change back to a regular filter.

my mpg is not brilliant

maybe I'll pull it out and see what happens
as I have a paper filter in hand (brand new)
