I just replaced my rear brake pads. Now whenever I ride, there is a clicking sound coming from the disk/pads. The click is fairly loud - you can hear it while riding at speed - and the frequency increases with speed. The sound disappears if I apply a little of rear brake pressure.
Admittedly, the mechanical world is not one I visit as often as I'd like, so I may have done something wrong. I realized I waited too long to replace the rear pads and the disk was lightly scratched, but the scratch is uniform around the disk, so I don't think that's causing the click, but I don't know.
I'm looking for help. What should I do?
