Just a thought

After having my tank off my 2002 DL1000 and removing pump for filter cleaning I got to thinking......has anyone come up with a external pump ??? seems would be much easier to replace for a away from home fuel pump failure ? Which brings up another question, how reliable are the factory pumps ? Not seem much about them on the forums ?

The pumps are generally reliable but the two filters can block.
Research the fuel filter bypass modification.

K7 DL1000 fuel filter bypass modification
