Hi all,

Bought a 2013 wee last yr and immediately installed the Yoshimura exhaust. I'd had a Yoshimura on my SV650 and loved the music. I'm happy with the Yoshimura exhaust but recently bought the SW Motech engine guard/skid plate and immediately saw I had more chance of falling pregnant than making it fit with the Yosh exhaust unfortunately hanging too low. Don't like the look of any of the other skid plates out there to be honest, but may be able to live with the Weld 86 which looks fairly decent.....minimalist which is what I'm after. Anyone know if the Weld 86 will fit with the Yosh exhaust?

Thx for the reply. The Givi skid plate will fit with the Yosh exhaust for sure. My mate has a 2012 wee with the Yosh and Givi skid plate and it all works well. I just don't like the look of the Givi.....the search continues.

The Yosh exhaust will fit the 2013.....mine installed with no issues. Bought mine from the local bike shop I bought the bike from. Likely coulda got it cheaper online but wanted to support the mom and pop owned bike shop....they gave me a good price and got it in quickly. Shop around down there....you'll find one for a good price for sure. We tend to pay a fair bit more here in Canada for the same items than u guys do in the States.

One issue with the Yosh I just encountered. Took it out of storage a couple of weeks ago and noticed some spots on the pipe.....kinda like drops of liquid had left a residue. Called Yosh and they advised the pipe will stain. Suggested I use some Mothers metal polish and elbow grease to get ride of the marks. Will do this tomorrow but even if it works not thrilled to be having to do this on a regular basis. My mate with the 2012 had the same issue. Never had the issue with my Yosh slip on on my SV in 6 yrs of ownership. Dammit.
