I got a quote from the Personal (got two cars and my house with them) for a 2017 Strom 650 at just under $800/yr outside Toronto. Any better options?

That's a little better than I'm paying for my 07 650 with Echelon. I'm in Brampton, which is a very expensive insurance area.

I have been getting some quotes online for this riding season and $800 seems to be the average. ( 2017 weestrom, clean driving record, Ottawa area).

I'm in Midland, ON. and I just renewed my insurance with Aviva, for my 2015 650 VStrom.
With PL & PD, Standard Accident benefits, Direct Comp., Family Protection (whatever that is?) and No Collision/Comprehensive. Last year, $641, this year $700... no accidents, tickets, etc.
I spent hours researching other possibilities with no luck. So there you go, for what it's worth!

sounds a little steep for a 650, i just got my renewal and it's $150 more for a 1000 and i have an accident on my record from 2013.... stupid ice storm 🤬

Try Riders Plus. Last year I was paying with Echelon $640 for my 2017 650 (and I’m in Mississauga).
