I'm putting Oxford heated grips on my Wee and I got the EB wiring adapter and my plan is to use the factory connection. When I wire the EB extender to the Oxford wires do I cut the wires and keep the fuse or ditch the inline fuse that comes on the wiring harness?

My guess is, ditch it.....because the stock harness should be fused already! But, I don't do this kind of work very often so - your thoughts?

The stock connector is fused with the signals fuse.

If the Oxford fuse is lower amp than signal fuse, i would keep it. You don't want to blow all your signal lamps if your heated grips short.

The lamps wouldn't blow, the fuse would. The signals and brake lights wouldn't work if the 15A fuse blew. A smaller fuse in the heated grips wire could blow first in case of a short.

The functional difference between lamps blowing, and the fuse blowing is the same. no brakes or signals. I could have worded that differently.

The Oxford fuse is 5a I believe.
