I don't have a centerstand and am wondering if I can get away without one. I'm planning on installing a loobman and may buy a Shermworks stand for when I do need the rear wheel off the ground. I just ordered lowering links from Murphs Kits and am wondering if I can install them just using my side stand. I'm thinking I'll loosen the bolts first, then jack under the engine to raise the rear wheel off the ground and change the links. I'd get the Sherm stand now, but I'm thinking that lifting by the swingarm wouldn't let me remove the stock links. Is this right, or does anyone else have any suggestions for another method?

I used a jack placed under the lower mount for the links just to take the pressure off and did it that way with no issues (other than my own stupidity for not watching the bushings and letting a couple of the needle bearings fall out!). You better have a breaker bar or impact to get those locktited nuts off too!
