Is there a trick to remove the fuel injector connectors? I even removed the air box but cannot get the plugs to "unplug". I see on the bottom of each there is a tab to press on the back end of the connector, but I can't for the life of me get the plugs to come off.

The bike is an 09

As it's been a while since I last did it, I believe there is only one tab to depress but study them carefully please. I can say they're such a waterproof connection they actually "pop" with a suction effect sound when they release their grip on the injector. Hard to pull off but definitely be done with your fingers, no tools required.

You can also shoot a small squirt of WD40 on the plug to help loosen it up if there has been a build up of crude making it harder to remove.

This wont harm a thing and if there is any water in the connection it will help to git it out of there.

haven' t removed any yet, so not sure, but take a good look at them. You' ll see some electrical connectors with a tab that has to be pushed, and others with a tab that has to be pulled... might be the same with these...

I just took mine out a couple of weeks ago. It Is what it appears to be . Just one tab at the bottom. Try removing the injectors from the fuel rails first.
