At long last I can now call myself an official Stromtrooper. I picked up a very nice 2012 Wee Adventure model in Alabama on Saturday and rode it back almost 900 miles to Austin, TX. I have to say, the bike is downright amazing, especially coming from my 1982 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD. It's almost like stepping into a spaceship from a horse and buggy. The bike is soooo smooth and handles like a dream! I feel so much more secure and confident and couldn't be happier! And what at amazing ride back too! The weather was perfect - blue skies, cool evenings and mornings, warm but not too hot afternoons...just perfect riding weather. Here's some info:

2012 Wee Adventure, 5800 mi, Black
Farkles in addition to crash bars and side cases that come standard: skid plate, Rox risers, Koubalink 1" lowered, tool tube, hand guards, matching Suzuki top case, Suzuki case liners, center stand, 2 fuel bottles and holders attached to panniers.

I think I'm pretty set with farkles for now, but do want to add a fork brace and USB outlet.

Thanks again to the folks that replied to my various threads. I'm sure I'll have more now that I'm an official owner! Here's a couple pics of the new ride.

Congrats. My first bike was an 81 LTD 550. I think the Wee is the closest bike I've had to it's seating position since that bike. I've had a Concours and a number of cruisers. It's good to be back on an upright bike.

What did you do with your LTD?

I've still got the LTD and debating whether to keep it or sell it. I haven't been riding very long and it's my first bike too, so I'm a bit attached to it. Although, I could use the money after buying the Wee.

I would sell it if you don't ride it much ,the longer you keep it the less its worth blue book wise.It looks to be in real good shape for its age it should sell quick use that money for the V-Strom Farkeling .I had the KZ 1000 in 1977 the year they came out it was my first big bike I liked it and so many after that I can not count them. But of all the Bikes I've owned its My V-Strom DL 1000 and my DL 650 that I have a real hot passion for. My 06 Harley FLHTP-1 police only gets used in Veterans functions and funeral escorts.I am on the Strom everyday rain or shine cold or hot !:yesnod:
