I just bought a 2015 v strong 650 abs it's my first bike and I am madly in love with it the only issue is its just too tall for me if I could just get one inch it would be perfect I have done some research and have found I can buy a new seat that's lower for around 275 or some adjustable linkage to Lower it for about 100 I just don't know if that will take away from the suspension. Any advise is helpful

Lowering by replacing the dog bone links works fine as long as the bike isn't lowered too much. Lower the front too by raising the fork tubes in the triple clamps one side at a time so the other fork tube will keep holding the bike up. The maximum for front lowering is about 21mm which is close to an inch. The maximum on the rear is about 28mm or 1-1/8 inches. Here's a good read on lowering in general though about older models but all use the same dog bone links. Raising + Lowering Links--Review, Installation and Pics
