I have an '04 Vee with 16k miles. For a while, it's stuttered/stammered, in rhythm, from around 3,200-3,600 RPM....when lugging a little, as I roll on the throttle. I THOUGHT it was the dreaded chudder. But, I shimmed all springs in the clutch, and this had 0 effect. So, after much research and reading, I've found several people who describe the exact same symptom, and who said it 100% went away after they changed their ECU.

So, to start, I will need to determine if my ECU is stock or "upgraded". Then.....if stock, I wonder if I have a shot in hell of getting it upgraded by Suzuki, now? I mean, there was a recall (I think?) on my year's ECU.

Thanks in advance!

Max- have an 06 Vee that also had the 3000-3200 stutter. It was purchased used from a private party. Started off by taking the scoot and service bulletin into the local dealer. Bike fell within specified numbers but was blown off by the dealer. Put a PC111 on and it resolved the stuttering. PC111 crapped out after 10, 000 miles. Swapped the sprockets out to 16/43 not too long ago and bike seems to run better than it ever has (be advised this is based butt dyno). If starting over I would swap the sprockets first to see what happened. Just my $.02 cents. Lay no claim to mechanical expertise.

I have a 2004 with 50,000 miles. I wonder what ECU is in mine and if it was changed ever. I'll have to look into this ...

Don't know if this will help in the ECM warranty issue, but here's the info. regarding my 05 Vee that has had it replaced.
Bike manufacture date 01/05
Bike sale date 21/7/05
Paperwork simply states Suzuki Warranty "replace ECM module" and done by dealer on 03/06/06
ECM markings as follows;

06G60
MGT079
F8T96273
3Y27 with a white applied plastic dot about 1/4 diameter after, don't know if its of any significance.

The bike has run fine with no fueling issues since I've owned it (07)
