After reading though the manual and posts I am still unsure how much surplus power i have to work with for accessories. Here are my assumptions: I have no more than 30amp minus whats already used which is around 16-17 amps so am i right that i have at most 13 amps extra? I just want to be sure I'm right. Ya ya ill be adding a volt meter.

DL650s had 375W alternators until 2008 when they went up to 400W. I think 120W to spare is a little optimistic. If there is a lot of time idling especially, 100W may be a more realistic figure. If you do practically nothing but 5000rpm and up super slab long distance trips, 125W may be a workable figure.

I know this is a late response but you could upgrade the headlights to HIDs. Less power draw and much more light. You might also take a look at www.visionxoffroad.com

They sell some mighty bright LED Aux lights. Aerostich sells them too.
