Couple of jack stands and your axle works.
This.

Or a couple 5-gallon buckets (turned upside down) and axle works. That's what I use. Learned that from (Barry?), who used to frequent this forum often (thanks).

Nice and easy and nothing additional to store. I'm amazed how well this process works. Well enough that a single 1/4 ounce weight (in addition to those needed to balance the tire-wheel assembly), will cause the assembly to go noticeably out of balance during the balancing process.

I repurposed some crap I had laying around the garage and some salvaged rollerblade bearings. Wheel bearings don't always spin freely enough. With this setup, you can drive yourself crazy balancing to 1/8 ounce increments if you want.

Note clever photo prop used as substitute for tire and wheel.

I think we have the same jack stands bw :surprise:
I used an eye bolt to attach the axle bearings to the stands; I remove the pipe and put the pin through the eye and tighten the bolt a bit.
