I bought a 2011 Wee L1 in September 2022. Sold my 06 BMW K1200s to buy the Wee.
Bought on 59000km, currently on 63000km. Had bad luck end November 2022, Stator failure, top part burned. Took the time off to do some much needed maintenance, bike was running again end March 2023.
New OEM Stator
New OEM SH847 Rectifier (Wiring Connectors from Eastern Beaver)
New intank fuel filter
New Iridium plugs
New Airfilter
New Oil + filter
Replaced a oil breather hose that was cracked
Flushed coolant with distilled water and added new coolant
Bought the bike with 17/47 sprockets, changed to 16/47
New Mitas E07 Tyres
New rear brake pads
New brake fluid front + rear
New OEM Clutch cable
Was balls deep in and did not do a valve clearance check. Guess what I am doing soon...
Anyway, simply love my little Wee, some more small things to sort, but looking forward to travelling my country with this little Wee,
Welcome, Pieta! I traded away an FJR1300 for a 180lb lighter, 1/2 the horsepower 2011 650 and absolutely could not be happier. The 650 just feels so natural, like a large dirt bike.
