Also known as Portugese Pass, this mountain back road is probably the only paved forest service road in California and begs to be ridden! 24+ miles of absolutely stunning scenery and I saw NO other vehicles on it! Zero.....Nadda.....None!
I started at the southern end out of Posey and rode it North to M50 just West of Johnsondale. Weather was perfect in the 60s with crystal clear skies. This road is definitely one of my top destinations and look forward to riding it again soon!

Thanks. I will definitely ride that. Don't know if I'll get there before the snow this year ...
Looks like a great place to ride and hangout.

Practically my entire ride was captured on my Sony HDR AZ-1:smile2:
Haven't figured out how to include vids in my posts yet.:frown2:

Certainly not South of Pasadena!

Yo, that's down South. I'll have to let my friends know. We are through that area a couple times a year.
You can pick up 23S16 out of Posey which is East out of Porterville. Just take Old Stage Rd and it leads you right to Posey.

23S16 is paved all the way from Posey to Hiway M50.....

Looks a bit more dirt than paved???
Certainly south of the State of Jefferson!
"paved" if you want to call it that! A little rough in spots but doable on any bike.
No such state......yet!
