Plastic & Plastics

I like the old one better, the new one just has more plastic, there was already too much plastic, don't want more. A plastic rear rack? What are you gonna be able to carry on a plastic rear rack??

... a plastic girl, inflatable maybe?

Plastic or not, I prefere the new one...

I ask for patience at all: I'm late with the continuation of the translations, but I'm always traveling for work, now ...
Thanks for the translations Hanno, it's nice to get some hard facts. I don't know what all the complaining about the new strom is about. Especially the fact that it's still a 650. The 650 is a well respected motor, and with the Gladius motor becoming the de-facto 650 vee-twin in Suzuki's range (I'll bet the 2012 SV650 also gets the Gladius motor) what would anyone expect? Besides, gas is way more expensive in the rest of the world (non-USA), and a smooth, strong, reliable 650 that gets better mileage and is a bit more powerful is going to be a winner. Add to that better looks, better air control (less buffeting and air-off-the-thigh-and under-the jacket), modernized instruments with more bells and whistles, removing the accident-waiting-to-happen oil cooler, a seat that's at worst average, instead of being an instrument of torture, and keep the price low, how can Suzuki go wrong?
This is also Italian ...

but I think it's the first video on the net ... or am I wrong?
Nice find....thanks for posting it.

Did anyone else notice that the bike they were test riding had what looks like Givi crash bars and either a different wind screen (Givi) or just an added adjustable lip on the stock screen.

The new look is interesting and that explains why my local dealers are selling the 2011's (which I just bought) for under MSRP out the door.

News from theperfectstrom

... better than any of my translation ... isn't it? :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

OK, I give up ...:fineprint:

In any case, here too the new Wee looks much appreciated ...:hurray:

Aren't they Hepco&Becker ?

The adjustable lip comes from Suzuki's accessories catalog

But NOT in Italy/Austria...:furious:
Good article which answered a lot of my questions.

Thanks,

Jon...

PS: Why did the author keep calling it a 2011 and not a 2012?

I suspect you are correct. Since they are offering HB cases it would make sense.

But NOT in Italy/Austria...:furious:
I'm sorry to hear that :eek:rig_frown:

Jon...
...what's about French ?

Have a look on this one too...

Did Anyone Else Notice

That the new bike's front end looks a lot like the "Thin-Strom" our Austrailian friend created?

I wonder if he got a design commission...

Starting August 1 will be on sale in Europe: First in the UK, then France and later gradually in all other nations... even THIS year...:fineprint:
The more I look at the "new" version the more I like it. I may have to upgrade after it's been out for a couple years.

Suzuki finally updating the Wee-Strom? - Page 92 - ADVrider

I like the state in which they reduced the footpegs pins... and the nuns of the same color of the bike ...
