Does anyone have any experience with Hepco Becker products? Their website states they have mounting hardware currently available for the Vee2 - both topbox and panniers. I know nothing about their products, but their boxes look well made.

I had one of their top cases on the Strom when I first picked it up from the previous owner. I had an older Givi E350 top case that had some sentimental value so I pulled the H&B top box off and sold it but I would have kept it on there other wise.

The box was VERY solid. The mount was even more solid. The way it mounted I probably could have lifted the back end of the bike in the air with it. I do believe that their stuff is a bit high priced. The mount itself I think is over 200 dollars.

Put their crash bars on my 2005 DL1000. Outstanding product that I tested on more than one occasion. I will probably use their pannier rack in concert with Moskomoto soft panniers on my 2014 DL1000.

Ordered the racks Friday and recieved them today.Installed the racks tonight and are very good quality. Solid. They are pricey but should hold up well. I got the xplorer cases and they seem well made as well. Time will tell.

Please post pics ... im 6 months of buying a Vee2, however xplorer cases are near the top of the list.

I had HB on my wee 3-4 years ago. Great topbox.

Here are a few pictures. With the 30l side cases it is the same width as the handlebars. The top case is massive (45l) but will only hold 10lb (5kg), I am guessing that is due to the plastic Suzuki rear rack.

Love the look of the side cases. That top box is enormous. At least you have an emergency shelter if you ever have a mechanical.

Hi DJO, thanks for the pics but they are kind of hard to see. Would it be possible for you to take the bike out in the sunlight and get some shots from a little farther away? It would be really nice to have a full side view of the bike. Thank you...

I am really waiting for the Givi Trekker Outbacks to become available but my second choice are the HB that you have. Seeing a side view of yours just might make me change my mind and get the Hepco Becker cases.

Hi,
Those HB look great for sure.
I wonder if you are still able to put your V2 on center stand without removing the left box?

Thanks.

Those are mearly guidelines on the weight capacity lol

I can tell you that my E21 side cases are only "rated" for 10 lbs each. I've had WAY more than that in there :fineprint:

Access to the centre stand is no problem. The pillion peg is more in the way, the box sits behind the peg. I will get some better pictures up in the next day your so.

I don't suppose anyone has seen the H&B side racks available in Australia? (Or alternatively, available overseas from somewhere with reasonably-priced overseas shipping?)

I had a HB top case on my Vee. Very sturdy case and mount.

I now have a HB pannier mount set up that came with my Caribou/Pelican side cases on my Tenere.

I agree it is pricey stuff. When I got the pannier mounts they were kinda scratched up from packing/shipping. Figuring I would just add to it while riding offroad, I put touch up paint on any bare metal and used them. Everything bolted up nicely with no owner mods required on my part. Nice hardware, quality fasteners.

My wee came with Hepco Becker panniers when I bought it, their 40Liter left/30Liter right Junior model to be specific, and i can get pictures if you would like. So far with me, they have withstood 3 slow/no speed bike drops, with most of the bikes weight being on the case and since they have kind of a rough texture, you really cant notice the small scratches unless you know they are there.

These bags show a weight limit of 22lbs each but I have personally fit 5 gallons of antifreeze in the big bag before without any problem. Only problem I have had with the bags was one day in a torrential downpore, there was a few teaspoons of water in one of the bags. But I havent had any leakage since and have gone through a few more good rains so my best guess is that i got one of the straps in the seal that day. Overall, although pricey, they are good rugged bags.

After prodding the site that appears to be the local distributor for .au, they went "oh, whoops, we've had those in stock all along and just forgot to update the site" *facepalm*

Good to hear the luggage is decent quality from you guys.
