The 4 pot calipers I researched were 34/32 and 34/30 respectively. Better make sure what you really have.
I found a screen shot of the CBR600RR factory service manual from the correct year that my Nissin brakes came from. It showed 32mm/30mm caliper pistons under the specs/service limits.

Edit: Found another source that suggests 31.8mm & 33.68mm. Maybe you're right.

So it looks like an older 5/8" V-Strom master cylinder would put it at the perfect MC/caliper ratio (right at 17). I'm at 21.9 right now with the 14mm MC. The radial one is tempting too.

I'm probably going with this.

Shop around for price first. I scored the same one off Amazon for $148.39 w/ free shipping. Got the last one at that price. They have more for $191.89 w/ free ship *HERE*, or on eBay for the same price *HERE*.

The cheaper option is to get any stock V-Strom master cylinder with "5/8" shown in the circle on the side where ours says "14".

Anyway to know for sure if the one on Amazon is the same one on SV Racing. No part number on SV Racing unfortunately.

Are the DL1000 MCs radial?

Are the DL1000 MCs radial?
The 2012 DL1000 master cylinder I ordered off eBay arrived. That's the last year that model came with a 5/8" cylinder bore. Perfectly brand new condition for $38.40 w/ free shipping. It came with a bent lever (that was expected), but it's the same lever as my '17 so I re-installed my original one. The contacts on the attached brake light switch looked farther apart, so I swapped it for my original one.

Installation was a breeze and it firmed up the lever perfectly. No regrets choosing this route over a radial 19mm. Everything (mirror, hand guard, brake light switch, etc.) bolted back on just like original.

Very pleased. I was starting to notice that my original 14mm master cylinder was a little soft on hard braking with the new calipers. A problem no more.
