If I'm dropping $400 on a helmet, it better say Shoei or Arai on it!

I have one and really like it. Have about 1000km on it now and it does what you would expect it to. It easy to flip in and out of position even while on the road, the sunshade is a good length. The ability to use the faceshield with jaw piece rotated back is a nice feature as well. I do notice the extra weight at the back of the helmet once you flip it back but I soon get used to it and don't notice. I can't say if it any louder than other helmets but would say it is about the same as my Scorpion modular. I would not buy another modular that only flips up half way again as I really like the ability to ride open face when the urge hits me. It is great not having the wind tryin to rip your helmet off your head, not to mention the lack of bug guts splattered all over the inside of your face shield. I would buy another one should something happen to this one. I purchased the light smoke shield as well. It combined with the sun shade and I dont need my sunglasses.

I like

I've got a huge head, I've tried lots of them, for me a full face helmet must fit, be Snell 2010, comfortable, good aero, good vis, easy to take care of. You can find the above starting around $150 and price goes to the moon. On my face shield, I use the same wax I use on my bike, rain blows right off, bugs don't screw up the finish, stays cleaner longer.
Dat's my 2 cents worth.

The Shark Evoline Series 2 has to be one of the most versatile helmets available. I think it now beats any flip-up for usefulness in a variety of conditions, from sportbiking to adventure touring.

It's comfortable, well-built and has everything you'd need in a helmet, along with the Shark 5-year warranty, for what is actually a reasonable price when all things are considered. The Series 2 has become my favorite helmet and I've been wearing it almost every day. I can highly recommend it.

Note that they call it a "slightly round" internal shape. If that fits your head, great!

As with any helmet with any reputation, everything depends on if it fits yer noggin.

I tried the Evoline, but found it was tight on my forehead and loose on the sides of my head, like it would fit Charlie Brown. If it fit, I would own it.

Well as it turns out it really does not matter how good the helmet is. The US distributor choked & is not importing them anymore. I have been trying to buy a white one in size large all day with no success.

I tried a series 2 on as well, same problem. Pressure on the forehead, loose on the sides. I've got a slightly narrow/oval shaped head, and I'm really disappointed that they don't fit. Its everything I'm looking for in a helmet and there is nothing else like it in the North American market.

I'm still holding out hope. The 2011 Evoline ST looks like it might have thicker padding on the sides.

My local shop, GP Bikes, will be getting them in June, so I'll try one then. If your having trouble finding them in the US, they also sell on-line.
