To clarify, the bulbs you have installed right now are LED or halogen? Either the high beam filament/element broke, the connection in the holder that powers it is fouled up, or there's a fault somewhere between the high beam switch and the affected holder.

I'd probably switch the bulbs around and see if the non-working high beam moves with the bulb.

I'm on team halogen forever.

 

Thanks, yes ive had LED bulbs for a long time. So both should go bright which is what i thought

 

Yep, both should be lit for high beam.

Not unusual for high output LEDs to fail way earlier than their advertised lifespan.

 

Its probably not early i think they might be 10 years old

 

Most likely the high beam of one has failed.
A while back I replaced my older H4 LED's with ballasts attached for the newer LED's which replicate the original bulbs, doing away with the extra wiring.
