Twistedthrottle has the D38 dry bag. I am considering strapping one to my dl650 to serve me during commuting duty.
Does this bag hold up well in the weather (sun, rain, etc.)?

Is it well made?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I have the D28 double-ended soft bag on order, supposed to ship next week.

I was using a canoeing-style dry bag, whatever I needed was always on the bottom....

That D38 looks nice. If I hadn't already bought (and really like) my big Wolfman Expedition Dry Duffel, I would have looked at this one a little closer.

How do you suppose that vinyl exterior will hold up?
I have used vinyl dry bags for years, sea kayaking and motorcycling. Sea kayaking is harder on the bags than riding is and none of my vinyl bags show any wear and they all keep water out - both driving rain and if submerged.

I've got couple Vinyl bags from REI (Gray)and Sea Line (Yellow). Had them for probably 20 years and 100's of thousands of miles in the sun, freeze and rain. They worked and continue to work
What's nice about the D38 is that it has 20+ years of improvements. The longitudinal opening is much better than stuffing crap in the top.
