Folks seem to have mixed results - the brake line is usually the limiting factor. You could probably do 1 + 1 but you will likely need to remove the lower clamp on the brake line to get some slack, maybe do some re-routing (behind the triple-tree). Part of it has to do with how the bars are rotated in the clamps. Just make sure you test turning the bars lock to lock to make sure the brake line isn't being pulled tight and the throttle doesn't change.
