Does anyone have any photos of a Giant Loop Great Basin saddlebag on their V-STROM, preferably a 2014+ 1000? Trying to figure out if I can use it with a pillion before I buy one.

I'd like something like that but for a third of the price I could get hard bags and a YUGE top box.
Actually I'got some 20 year old dry bags I could use for that retro look the hipsters like.
Maybe I could find an old Bell helmet at the swap meet to really look the part.

That looks like a smart system actually. I watched the video for the moskomoto one, impressive.

I wonder how long it would last though, when it is in the sun and rain a few years, get some Calcium Chloride drying on it, would it ever recover? Not very much storage space either really, 80 liters can easily be exceeded with two aluminum panniers, plus a top box to add another 50+.

Pricey too at close to $500 bucks, ouch.

Still a lot lighter than a lot of other items. It would never fit all the crap I take.

Bugzy, you into wretched excess when you travel too?:grin2:
Not really, it is just that I like to camp, and that shiz takes up a lot of space. Mat, Tent, Sleeping bag, tarps, pillow, that would be too much for this throw over system. If I was motelling it everywhere sure, would be enough space.

Yeah, I agree, it's supposed to go over the pillion seat after looking at GL website. A guy was going to make me a great deal on a lightly used one. Just disgusted with how easily OEM sidecases failed on a low speed get off in the mud. These bikes are heavy falling under their on weight! Maybe racks and metal cases are the way to go, but so much more weight...
Mosko Moto Reckless 80 is still my fav i think.

For economy, check out the ATV Quad rear rack packs. $75 on up ... Hundreds of choices and configurations.
Here is one for $39 https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1148/266/ATV-Logic-U-Shaped-Rack-Pack?c=131
Another for $125 From Cabelas
If you only need this much space a couple of times a year and can stand the occasional snark in a parking lot ...

I had a look at my old dry bags on the side racks I have. It's really hokey/hideous. Maybe worse. One is yellow and the other Grey.
