I did a hot wire job from the battery to my gps acc. plug-in and now when I plug in the gps, the screen goes haywire. I can take the same gps and put it back into my truck and it works fine. Any suggestions?

OK, Appperantly I am getting 12 v to the plug ins instead of 5v. I think I need to find where that extra wire by the radiator is that everyone talks about and wire into that

Ok. Well, I had it wired this way for 2 years and it worked. I guess I got lucky. I think I will have to wait at this point until I get home and double check. I didn't cut the plugs off so if there is a online 5 v converter, i will make sure these are still ok. Thanks for all the help, let you know tomorrow if I have sucess!
