I have the Givi screen on my 1000. Mounted in the middle position. The left handguard and right mirror touch the screen at full lock. Nothing that concerns me.

As for noise/comfort; it's slightly better than the stock screen. Better rain protection and slightly quieter. I think I'd rather have my money back than this screen. After I do some heating/bending/forming of the tall Suzuki screen I'm going to try the Rifle screen.

Way too many variables involved to be able to pick a screen that works for you. A screen that works for me may be the worst thing in the world for you.

Example:

I ride a Wee, 6'2" and had a Shoei RF-1000 helmet. Hated the stock screen and nothing could make it better. I bought a Cee Bailey 23.5" screen and must of the noise and buffeting was done. I didn't like the "Barn Door" size and thought things could be better, but like I said, way better than the stock screen.

Time passed 8) ... I CRASHED  ...Time for a new screen :? ...

So since the crash I'm made some changes. A Shoei X-11 helmet and I was able to get a seat off a DL-1000. I put the stock screen back on until I could get something better. I wasn't looking forward to having my head banged around  . But I got a big surprise. The new helmet, plus the extra height of the seat had reduced the buffeting to where it was almost livable. Not as good as it had been with the Cee Bailey, but not too bad. What had happened is I was sitting higher and in cleaner air. The new helmet must also be more aerodynamic. Living in Florida this will make a new summer screen.

I'm still planning on getting a new screen (looking at the MP Cycle Design). I'm still getting buffeted over 70 mph. For short rides I've found no screen at all is really nice on a hot day and no buffeting at all.

Conclusion,

> Try before you by if you can.
> For most people any screen is better than the stock screen.
> What works forme may not work for you.

I put the Givi screen on my DL650 last fall, and it is an improvement over the stock screen. It's not bad for the money. I also ended up inserting a small spacer at the top set up bolts to make the screen more upright. I can ride comfortably with my face shield up at highway speeds (I'm 5-11, 32 inseam). Believe it or not, Minneapolis, MN had more days over 90 degrees last summer than Atlanta, GA did. And then we had winter.

Im going on a 4 corners ride ( AZ) in april so more weather protection is important to me. I appreciate the responses to the thread.
Ordered a givi from calsporttouring today will install and ride for few days than give my opinion so that others may be helped in this quest for the holy windshield grail.
