I purchased the Givi Windshield and really like the protection it offers. However after riding with it for over a 100 miles, I still cant get used to the black edge protector that comes with the screen. Has anyone tried to remove this edge protector. If so, how did you go about doing it. Thanks

Some people have removed it.. some with success, some not! I honestly don't see it, and it never bothered me. I am in the 2nd position, and I can still easily see over the shield. There is alot of glue that holds on the black lip. You will have to sand the edges smooth once the lip and glue is removed. One guy, actually took a bandsaw, and cut just below the lip. He sanded the edges clean... looked really good. Good luck! :)

BIG B, I have the windshield in the 1st position and it seems to be right in my line of sight. I am 5'-9". Just curious on how tall you are, if you are able to have it in the 2nd position and see over the windshield.

Also see that you are in Westerville. My dad's family is from Westerville. It is not the small town it used to be anymore.

I am aprox: 5"11 on a good day!! I think that the 3rd position would be probably in my line of sight. 2nd position is PERFECT for me. I love this shield, I know that I made the right decision. I have seen several other shields.. and I personally think they are quite ugly. They may work well, but I like my farkles to look good. I went for a ride lastnight "57 degrees in Jan", and I had my faceshield up the whole ride. I was very comfortable and had no wind in my face or buffeting.
As far as Westerville goes.. you are right about it not being a small town anymore! We have 3 highschools now and 4 middle schools. We have lived here for about 5 years, I am originally from Southwestern Ohio. I love it here, I am about 40 minutes away from all of the best riding areas in the state. Where did your Dad's family live? Talk to ya later!
