I'm installing a Givi E528 fitment on my DL650. The first step is to take off the rubber covering on the original carrier. Is there anyway to do this non-destructively?

Put some dish soap on the rubber prongs and pop it out. It helps to push them from the underside as you pull.

What he said..... Except I used a squirt of WD40 instead of soap. Came right off without damage.

Hey thanks all! Using the dishwashing soap did the trick. Once I did that and pulled hard enough the others came off as well. I did not think the rubber could take that much tension, but it survived intact.
