Sounds interesting, but how did we manage to complicate such a basic item as a fuse block? Unless this is a situation where fuses would constantly need to be changed, I don't see an advantage to this. Even then, there's an underlying problem of why fuses keep blowing.
No way would I personally ever use this over the fuse block sold by eastern beaver. For the difference in price I could but a lot of really useful stuff. But that is just me. I'm frugal.
Who am I kidding, I'm too frugal to use a fuse block. I individually wire everything.
Yes, for the cost of admission, you could be enjoying pie for a long time to come. IIRC, when I was looking for Eastern Beaver alternatives (I settled on the EB PC-8 because of cost, features, size, and it satisfied my needs) I came across a couple. You can google motorcycle fuse panels and you will come up with another alternative to Rick's link above.
Fuse block, you stick in a new fuse when it pops. I just wonder what would happen if something went wonky with the circuitry on the electronic fuse block when on the road and it just stopped working. It won’t be as simple as popping into a store and picking up a fuse.
I looked at these, and they're certainly high tech, but I can really only see two advantages over a standard fuse box:
1) They're small, even smaller than the Eastern Beaver PC8
2) If you have to put your fusebox in difficult to access location, the ability to reset a breaker via your phone could come in handy.
I can't say that the price of a Neutrino ($250-$350) would make those specific qualities attractive. I've had the same PC8 on two bikes for the past seven years, and I've never blown a fuse. If I did, and didn't have any spares, I could pick up spare ATM fuses all over the place, including a WalMart.
Is there a better argument for these things that justify their price?
