I made a tool out a bolt and a couple nuts jammed together. Lots of sites sell a neat multi tool that does the job but it is pricey.
Whoops wrong bike, I think it's 12mm. I cut off a chunk from a big allen wrench and then use a 12mm socket on it. Some of the mentioned multi tools have the 12 on the small side and a 19mm on the other.
Buy it on line or Harbor freight, some auto stores, Sears, Snap-on?
I hate to be curt here but the ones that fit. Just ran out to the garage, the nuts I used fit inside a 7/8 socket. The bolt fit inside of the nuts. I just played with the stock at OSH until I made something work. I had to file a couple flats of the bolt to make my 19mm open wrench fit.
The axle on the DL is the 12mm. I used a length of copper pipe as a cheater bar to loosen and tighten fasteners since I'm not hung up on torque settings.
I know that elephant tight will pull threads.
