I had a leak in my left front fork seal, intending to fix it after I had the Sputnik sidecar installed. It promptly blew the right one so there is no more putting it off.
I'm just staring to investigate which are the best parts to source. The only aftermarket springs I'm familiar with are Progressive but SV Racing sells a kit from company I'm not familiar. He sells Race Tech springs and Gold Valve emulaters. I've only rebuilt some old Triumph 650 forks so am not even sure what emulators are. The web site says they are for non-cartridge forks like the 650.
A close friend and riding buddy who used to race for Team Kawasaki in Japan told me he was not surprised that the seals went and that upgrading the front forks is a must when installing a side car. I've had the leading leg mod so it is a bit more complicated to pull it all apart.
I'd be interested in member thoughts what parts manufacturers they used when upgrading the forks. It has been suggested that I also switch to 10W fork oil.
