They say there's no such thing as a free lunch well today I got one .
My mate Chancy and I went for a short ride down through the Royal National Park ,south of Sydney .We entered via the Waterfall end and were prepared for the Police who LOVE the Park for good reasons $$$ because of all the silly riders who go way to fast for the roads .Of course my noise can smell Police as I come out of a corner I just slowed a bit and sure enough there was the state revenue car hiding , so some carefull weaving so he could not get a fix on my mate and some on off rear breaking helped my mate slow down . MR PLOD held his fingers up to indicate ( a) missed you by that much , and (b) to me it was a shake of the finger . So the ride continue down to Scarbough Pub for lunch ,which of course was packed . Those that have been there will Know the food is OK but very $$$ with a limited menue but the viewws over the Ocean are great . We qued up for about 10 minutes to order T bone steak and Garlic bread $39 so ou are paying about $2o for the view and $ 19 for the steak . We went and shared a table out side with some others as the place is packed , and enjoyed the view as a BONUS there were some whales about so it was good with great weather .After about an hour CHancey goes upstairs to see why our Buzzer hasn't gone off , of course they say it will be another 8 minutes . Well after another 1/2 hour he goes up to " check" again . About 10 mminutes later he returns with the meals and a BONUS FULL REFUND as they stuffed up . So you see there is such a thing as a free lunch .
Return ride all the way through the park was below the speed limit with only one Police car seen . Personally thats about the slowest trip I have done in the park and I know Chancy who used to live in the park has never travelled that slow .I suppose it's because he has lost 17 points and will be walking a lot soon ! has slowed hime down . Me, well lets say I think I have had two tickets in 20plus years, but an awfull lot of short conversation with the men in blue .
Free LUNCH ride should be more of them .
