I have them on my V2
They are a complete tube and I removed my forks to fit them.
They pushed on from the top down.
They come about halfway up the gold outer tube and completely cover the inner tube but you can set your own heights.
You don't often see them on USD forks.
Mine are ACERBIS and that is printed on them in gold so it kind of matches the forks.
Many years ago I used the wrap around type that are fixed in place with Velcro, the Velcro allowed a lot of dirt & mud past.
