Looking for some quick help regarding the torgue values for the fork bolts (the clamps the hold the forks). I have a service manual on the way, but I'm knee deep into this now and would like to get it finished before it gets dark out.

PO lowered the bike. I just put the stock links back on and now need to get the forks back to stock.

Any help is appreciated.

Jeff

P.S. I'll check back in a few minutes.

20 will hold them but you don't want them too tight you want them to twist in the clamps so that they don't bend if there is a minor mishap.

20 can cause the threads in the aluminum to fail. Do them to spec.

stoked i found this thread. I have the EXACT same story as the OP...

Previous owner appears to be a hobbit.... bike is too lowered for my tastes.

my service manual is in the mail to me right now...

Will be brining the forks back to stock height tomorrow night. so the torque specs for the triple clamp pinch bolts are 16.5ft-lbs?

what are the torque specs for the bolts that hold the dog bones on?
