UPDATED FEB. 3:

ALL ITEMS SOLD. Thanks everyone. Happy Riding!

UPDATED Jan. 2, 2008:

Back in Canada after long trip. Crash bars are sold to a K-W 'Trooper.

Leaves only handguards still available. Worth noting: anyone who buys the mounting kit, gets blue Acerbis handguard free because I'm cutting the price to $60. You may want to order a colour to suit your bike from Adv Moto Stuff.

------------------

UPDATED NOV. 14 . . .

I've sold the skid plate (Pbeens was very convin$$ing) so the crash bars are now available separately.

---------

I've put a glorious 5000 km on the baby Strom. But alas, I find I need something a bit, oh, it's hard to put into words. Different. Maybe off-roadier. So I'm trading the sweetie in, bare. This means I have farkles that could go to a deserving Wee one.

Now since I live in downtown Toronto and don't have a car to cart goods to the post office, I thought I'd post these items here for locals only (for now), hoping you could ride/drive up and happily take these items to a good home.

NEW (brand new, never mounted)

1 SOLD SOLD a) Hepco & Becker crash bars

SOLD SOLD b) AdvMotoStuff skid pan

Price: $175 for crash bars (orig, $187, plus buyer saves heavy shipping and tax costs.)

Consider the Madstad sold. I'll email so we can coordinate a pickup.

Too bad you are moving on (as the vultures continue to circle on the spoils).

Heavy,

The Yahoo mail account keeps crashing my various browsers: Firefox, Safari, Opera, (old Mac) Explorer. So I will try PC work environment to answer your email. But anyway, the Madstad is yours.

Interested in Skid Pan

NEW (brand new, never mounted)

1 a) Hepco & Becker crash bars
b) AdvMotoStuff skid pan

Price: $350 (orig, $387 total, plus buyer saves heavy shipping and tax costs. Prefer to sell as set)

Sorry to hear you're moving on to a new bike. Any idea what you're considering?

I'm interested in the skid pan, as I believe it will attach to my Givi crash bars.

Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested in splitting up the crash bars/skid pan. I'm also downtown TO, so pickup is not a problem. I'll also take the Madstad off your hands if Heavy changes his mind... :)

Would You consider selling the bike instead of giving it away as a trade in???
Let me guess - trade value of 2007 Strom with 5000km.........$3500- 4000??? I tried to trade my 06 Boulevard C50, so I know the pain...:( Let me know - I might be interested....Thanks

If the crash bar fits my DL1000 I would be interested.
I don't need the skid plate.

Dave
Don't know exact answer to that question but I'll call AdvMotoStuff Thursday and ask them. Unless you beat me to it. The part numbers are just one off from each other, but that may not mean anything.

If it does work, I can split the items -- skid pan to Pbeens and crash bar to you Super Dave.

Heavy wins the Madstad because he's just Heavy (and he paid me for it).

Now, as to what I'm dreaming of, well, I've gone and done it. It was about last July I went to BMW Toronto and sat on one particular model. Well that was a big, big mistake because it felt so right. Yet too expensive. I then got a chance to ride this baby for 10 days and 1000 km. Love struck. Still too expensive. Lo and behold, BMW wants to shed its 07 stock with 2.95% financing and discounts and free service, etc.

OK, that 1200GS is now mine!!!!! :-D Black on black (not shown in catalogue). I'll try to post pic sometime later (I'm at work now). Got lots of pix today. My first new vehicle since 1988.

OK, here we are, my new GF:

Nice!

That's a beautiful bike....I'm envious.

I remember first seeing one at the bike show last year:

Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, although I fell in love with the Adventure even more!

Email me your phone # ([email protected]) and I'll call you about the skid plate.

Fight ya for it! :)

BWAHHHAAAAHHHAAAHAAAHAAAA !!!!!

He who snoozeth, loseth. Picked it up last night.

You know, I told myself I'd never buy one. I can use washers, spacers, longer bolts and some imagination to perfect the airflow. Guess I ran out of imagination, or maybe its just that I haven't bought any farkles for a while and it was time.

Purchasing farkels for your Strom re-asserts both the value and importance of your Strom and your manliness.

Emailed you, Peter.

And, that Adventure looks like a Transformer, ready for you to punch in a destination and take you through anything.

Hey Tom, did you see the letter online, or do you have paper copy? I wasn't able to find it online.
