Am I missing something here? I'm trying to get the clip off of my foot brake and am struggling. Please don't tell me I need a special tool from Suzuki to remove that clip. I'm trying it with a needle nose pliers and screwdriver and am getting nowhere. Help.

Disregard

As soon as I went running for help I figured it out. It may not be right but it worked. In case others wonder, take a needle nose pliers and insert it in between the two ends of the clip. Open your pliers which will expand the clip. I took a regular screwdriver and inserted towards the back of the clip in the space I had created and was able to pry it off. Be ready to catch or watch were the pieces go. Again, I'm no motorcycle mechanic but it worked and nothing broke.

Good for you. Circlip pliers would have been easier though. They are like long nose pliers but with round blunt needle ends and open when squeezed for outside clips or close when squeezed for inside clips. They fit in the holes near the opening in the clip.
