Fodsports m1 s plus helmet communications

Good evening I just wanted to do a quick review of these communicators. I wanted to try them out with my wife . We are 500km in and they seem to do everything they advertise to. The radio doesn’t have great reception but I didn’t expect it to. We share music from my wife’s phone and that works well. I’m sure the sound could be better but for our old ears it’s more than good enough. I think the pair of them were $230 delivered.

I guess that this comm set comes with ear bugs / inserts / plugs, rather than a helmet speaker setup?
They come with 40mm speakers and both a stick on mic and a boom mic for helmets that open

I use them too for me and my partner, working well so far. Sometimes I have issues with hackled navigation commands while listening to podcasts (weird, normal songs work well) but I suspect my android phone to be the problem. Battery life seems good too. Paid 145 euro for a pair.
I have it, too, and am well pleased with it. My one gripe - and it is proving to be significant - is the proprietary USB C charging cable. It has a step on the plug. The plastic part of the plug immediately next to the contact is smaller than the rest of the plastic plug. That means a standard USB C charging cable plug cannot insert far enough into the unit to make contact to charge the battery. We moved overseas and I have not yet found my charging cable. New cables are not cheap. https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Fodsport...refix=fodsports+charging+cable,aps,135&sr=8-3

That's quite annoying indeed. Also they printed a warning not to use charger with high power output which doesn't really comply with usb-c standart afaik. Dunno what to make of it...
I have heard that you can “whittle down” a cheap cable with a knife to fit.
I am also using any charger that is available so far and this is my third day of use talking and music and the battery still says over 90%
