Here's my new-to-me 2008 DL650 all loaded up in my brother's truck ready for the 6 hour drive home. It's spotless and has a whopping 6,435 miles on it. Came well-farkled. All I want to add to it is a center stand and a fork brace. Looking forward to many fun miles on this beautiful machine.

Great choice for a bike. I really like mine!

I don't like tying down at the handlebars... anybody else, or is it just me?

Thanks.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I considered 3 bikes before landing on the Vstrom, the other two being the Kawasaki Versys and BMW F650GS. There are a lot of great used Vstroms available on Craigslist right now in my area and considering how much bike I could get for the same amount of money, the choice was easy. It's better built, more reliable, more versitile, has an entire aftermarket industry around it, and is a fully proven machine. It didn't hurt that my brother has one and loves it. I've been enamored with it since he bought it. The bike looks like a shark on wheels. :coolgleamA:

I have to wait for the title x-fer now before I can license it, so for now she's a garage queen. I can't wait to start riding it. In the mean time, new farkles are on the way: centerstand, forkbrace, mirror extenders, etc.

I'm his brother

I should add that his bike matches mine. Same year. Same color. Way less miles. It'll be fun riding together and we should get some good rubber-necking riding identical bikes. I know he didn't buy that particular one just to match mine - it was just a great buy. But the bonus of having the same bike will be fun. Already our good friend Buckarooranch has call us "twinsies" - pretty funny. :green_lol:
