Finally Decided

Well, my current trailwings are at 7,500 miles, I'm getting ready to go on a 2,000 mile trip next month, I think the tires would make it but I decided that I'm not going to chance it at 80mph on the interstate, have a blowout or have the cords start showing along the way so I'm going to replace the tires. The front is still pretty good so I thought about just replacing the back with another trailwing, they've been good and I have no complaints with them at all but I think I'm going to just get something new and try them. I've been looking and reading the last few days and pretty much decided I'm going to get some Pirelli Angel GT's. Seems to have good reviews, been around for a long time now, I don't do any off-roading at all so I want something more sport touring and think these will fit the bill. Not wanting to start a tire war or anything, pretty much just bored today around the house today since it was 102 degrees with a heat index of 110, it wasn't much fun trying to do anything outside.

You'll get high mileage out of the Angel GTs. Not as high as some within the Michelin line, but respectable numbers. I've not ridden on these Pirelli's myself, but know they are a very popular choice for sport touring bikes (from another forum I frequent), generally. In other words, you won't go wrong with a pair on your ride.
Thanks for the input. it didn't seem like there was much bad to say about them at all. I was hoping someone wouldn't chime in and say yeah, they're great on just about every bike, but not the wee strom, they suck on those.
I've put about 3k miles on a rear gt ll. Love it.
