I have a K6 Wee with 15000 miles. It has performed flawlessly since new but the other day I got the 'F1' message. C28 came up on checking the system, indicating secondary throttle motor malfunction. This is not a listed part and Suzuki America told me today that the Motor is in the throttle body and the 'cure' would be to replace the throttle bodies for about $900 plus labor.
Has anyone experienced this problem and is there another remedy? My dealer says another option would be to ignore the red light and the flashing 'FI' just like the GSXR rider's do. Since the bike still runs well (accept for not starting so smoothly) I am leaning in that direction. I would appreciate any comments y'all might have. Thanx
