I have a beautiful '09 Kawa Versys painted Pearl Yellow after an GL1800 Gold Wing I had. I bought it recently after selling my ST1300A which I found heavy for my 69-year-old legs. Versys has Givi Bags, Coocase Trunk, crash bars, aftermarket horn, electric deer whistle, GPS mount, Cee Bailey Windshield. My first tour on it was in rain in mountains of several states for 2 and 1/2 days. As I rode on the slick roads, I kept thinking of how much I missed the extra confidence of ABS. Otherwise I love the bike. I am thinking of trading or selling it and buying a new DL650 primarily for the ABS, also less importantly because it would probably feel more stable on the interstate.

I have not ridden the Verseys, but I have ridden the GL1800 and ST1300A. If you would feel more comfortable with ABS, that certainly sounds like the route to go, no matter which bike you buy. Obviously we're a little biased towards the Stroms around here, though :thumbup:
