Hey guys I’d like to share my favorite mod, the cramp buster. If you don’t have one and you use your bike for touring, you need it. Hands down the best money spent on my bike so far. If you spend as much time as I do riding, do yourself a favor and pick one of these bad boys up. As a matter of fact when I bought it it came in a 4 pack and I only have one bike, I’ve already given one away to a fellow stromtrooper. If you’re local to me (Oakland, CA) hit me up, I have 2 more to give away. 🤪

If you like the Cramp buster try a Kaoko or the like throttle lock. Works even better and on long flat stretches you can set it and be able to take you right hand off the throttle for a few miles to get the blood circulating.

I like my Cramp Buster. Don't use it often though, as I dislike Freeways. I really like my louder horn.

Freeways aren't my favorite but sometimes they are a necessary evil. Last week I had work in Alabama, and I could have taken the company work truck or my motorcycle. All highway.but still prefer to travel by motorcycle.

Wednesday morning 4:12am left Chambersburg. 3:30pm arrived in Anniston Alabama 720.9 miles later.

Thursday morning visit the job site until 11:15am then head for home. At 8:45pm 495 miles later cold and tired stoped for the night in Salem Virginia.

Friday left Salem VA and made it back to Chambersburg 250 miles later at 10;05am.

Total trip 1465 miles in a little over 58 hours. 1465 miles of freeway in a motorcycle was 10x more enjoyable than sitting in my truck for the trip.

Impressive @PerazziMx14. I might attempt a similar type thing in the next couple of weeks as I have a hopeful destination that will require efficiency and getting the miles done in a limited timeframe. Hope the weather is tolerable. I just wish I knew how to nap beside a motorcycle when I get tired.
I have a cramp buster and have used on many bikes the past 15+ years. Definitely important for slabbing. I since bought the Go Cruse 2 and really like that. I try to avoid long freeway rides but was caught after dark last Friday night and had to do 138 miles on Interstate 5 home. Really liked the Go Cruise for that work.

Favorite mods? All of them!

Givi top box with Givi mount - rock solid

I'm very pleased with all the mods I've done: Madstad screen and bracket, heated grips, loud horn, and driving lights. My bike was well modded from the previous owner in that it came with a heated seat, crash bars, and full factory hard cases.

G'day from the land down under. That's just what I need. I have an old wrist injury, and I actually made something similar with duct tape and a peice of wood. Don't get near a bike shop too often, but when I do, I'll be grabbing one for sure. Happy trails Buzz

I have a Cramp Buster but don't use it. It gets in the way at stops or in traffic.
I do love my air horn.
And, when I added the flashing brake lights (Hyperlites) cars started leaving a full car length at stops.
YMMV

I put 'Best Mods' into several categories.

Best Mod Ever: When I added a National Cycle Plexistar 2 windscreen to my first motorcycle (1988 Honda Nighthawk 550). Got it on craigslist for $25. Even with my at-that-time terrible mechanical skills, I was able to install it in under 30 minutes, and it instantly extended my riding season by a month on either end.

Best Spendy Mod: Russell Day-Long seat. My butt no longer dictates how long or far I can ride.

Best Non-Bike Spendy Mod: Buying high-quality Gore-Tex riding gear (Klim jacket, Aerostich pants, TDX boots). Being able to ride in the rain all day without fear of leaks was life-altering.

Best Budget Mod: Sit-N-Fly seat cover. $25 shipped, fit my Russell Day perfectly right out of the package, keeps my undercarriage cool in hot weather, allows water to drain to avoid 'crotch-puddle'.
