Farkling up the V Strom

Finally had some time to install the mods I've bought for my V 1000. I added a Dale Walker 17" Competition muffler. I originally wanted the street core muffler in black, but Dale is phasing out his business and all he had left was the competition muffler. It sounds good but I'm worried it might be a little too loud. He was also out of his DB killer! I also added the serrated foot pegs, headlight guard and radiator guard from SRC. They are definitely quality products. The bike came with SW Motech crash bars, so I installed the SW Motech skid plate as well. The last thing I added was the OEM center stand. The rubber bumper and springs were a royal pain in the a$$. I've included some pictures just in case anyone is interested.

I like the lights!

When I was installing the skid plate my thoughts started drifting to oil changes. I'm assuming most folks who have the SW Motech skid plate completely remove it when changing the oil. From what I saw, I'm thinking if you don't you're going to have a mess on your hands. Correct?
Thanks!
I drop the skip plate as it is needed to access the oil filter. Skid plate is a "Cosmos" and has a drain hole if only doing oil
