Well I have been getting the Wee ready for my annual summer motorcycle trip. This summer we are heading out to South Dakota to visit some relatives we haven't seen in 40 years, take a look at Mt Rushmore, and visit a few others sites. On the way back we will North Dakota (haven't been there before), Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois before heading back to Atlanta.
This summer I added a few goodies to the Wee. I went with some Racetech springs and emulators for the front and got a hell of a deal on a Progressive 465 rear shock on Blokes Sportbike. I also replaced the Anakee 2's with some Battlewings for the trip. What a difference in how the bike handles!
I took it down some dirt and gravel roads in the area and it just felt so much more composed than before. The one downside is that I have to remember that my new confidence can lead me to ride above my ability at times.
Today I installed an Admore light kit for my Givi E52 topcase. Overall the install went very well and I really like the added visabilty that the kit gives to the bike. My only regret is that I wished I would have searched this forum before installing the kit. There were several nice posts which mentioned an Eastern Beaver harness that would have made for a much cleaner install than the 5 positaps I used on the taillight harness. Oh well, live and learn!
Just remember to search the forum before diving into a project!
